For customers in the US & EU:

  • We send the items to you from our warehouses in the US and Germany
  • It usually takes around 3-5 working days to deliver to you
  • Shipping fee and customs fees/duties/VAT/import taxes included

 

Due to limited quantities of some products, there may be instances of stock shortages or other factors leading to delayed shipments. Shipping from China to our EU/US warehouse and then arranging individual package deliveries takes over two months. To expedite this process, we will ship directly from China using express services, and we will cover the additional shipping costs.

Warranty

Replacing instead of repairing: 

All Chessnut chessboard products are backed by a warranty, which differs based on the region:

- European Union (EU): Our products come with a two-year limited warranty and complimentary technical support. In the case of a covered warranty defect, Chessnut will, at its discretion:

  - (A) Replace the product with an equivalent new product; or

  - (B) Provide a partial or full refund of the original purchase price in exchange for the return of the product.

- Other Regions: Products sold outside of the European Union are covered by a one-year limited warranty, with similar options for replacement or refund in case of a covered defect.

 

Repair Policy

Please note that we do not offer repair services for our products. If a defect occurs within the warranty period, the affected product will be replaced with a new, equivalent product.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to damages resulting from misuse, accidental damage, or intentional harm. Additionally, the warranty is void if the product has been altered or repaired by unauthorized parties.

Warranty Policy for Replaced Devices

Replaced Devices: If your product experiences hardware or usage issues and needs to be replaced, the warranty for the replacement product will start from the date of the replacement. The warranty period will be either 90 days or the remaining time of the original warranty, whichever is longer.

If the original warranty period is less than 90 days: If the remaining warranty on the original product is less than 90 days, the warranty for the replacement device will be extended to 90 days.

Extended Warranty Option

For additional coverage, customers may purchase a 2-year extended warranty service. This option extends the warranty period to a total of 4 years for EU purchases or 3 years for other regions, covering free replacements during this period.

l For customers within EU countries, all product orders will be shipped from our Czech warehouse. No additional tax fees will be charged, as the VAT is already included in the order price.

l For orders shipped to Switzerland and Norway, VAT and tax fees will be applicable at the time of purchase. If any additional tax fees are required during the shipping process, please contact our official customer service for assistance with applying for a refund on the extra charges.

    I've been a competitive player for 40 years (still have a FIDE rating of 1973), but I can't play in tournaments much anymore. The Chessnut Pro Premium allows me to play in "on the board" mode in the best conditions from my living room.
    The board is magnificent, and the pairing with my phone or PC is immediate. I waited years for a company to offer such an object. Chessnut has made my dream come true. Thank you.

    suddenly issues with not recognizing castling and not possible to play next moves

    I collected the eboard a week ago and played tens of games using Chessnut Android application with Online Lichess account connected. The delay between recognizing opponent moves and showing them on Chessnut Pro is quite big, and the same recognize my move on eboard and showing it on Chessnut-Lichess - it takes time. If you don't want to lose on time you have to play longer timing game Rapid 15+10 or even longer.
    Overall, over a week, there were few issues with not recognizing moves (leds start lightning on many squares), sometimes could be repaired by repeating moves on eboard, sometimes game has to be finished using mobile phone and after reset of eboard and/or application all worked fine again. This was acceptable and I would rate eboard between 4 and 5 (if it was faster and could be used on Blitz 5+3 games that would be 5). BUT... Yesterday (after a week of use) eboard was showing <10% of battery and I charged it fully (it was 2nd or 3rd time of charging). Today eboard is not recognizing castling (which before worked fine) and after castle (both 0-0 or 0-0-0) leds on squares involved in castling are lightning, the next moves are not recognized and it is not possible to use eboard. Restart of eboard does not help, the same restart of Android application. I tried few times, lost few games and had to finish them on mobile phones. I hope this will be solved as it is quite expensive appliance and it should be working properly not a week, but years.

    The board is really great

    The board is really great, but sometimes it does not record all moves .(and NOT due to max capacity).

    However: the app is really bad. WHY can it not show OTB games "live" on iOS? WHY does it not support easy save of games, again directly on iOS? I do not buy the explanations that it is Apples fault. Get into it, Chessnut!
