First and foremost, thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this journey. We're excited to share the latest updates on your Chessnut Move orders. Please forgive us for not updating you more frequently, but please believe that we're doing everything we can to get Move delivered to you as quickly as possible.

Current Production Status

Our team has been fully focused on Move's production. As a completely new product with unique specifications, the manufacturing and testing processes presented more challenges than anticipated as our factory partners adapted to its requirements. However, we're pleased to report that production is now running smoothly. 

Based on our current projections, all first-batch pre-order customers will receive their Move by the end of August, which aligns with our original timeline. For other regions, orders will be fulfilled in chronological order, with the first shipments expected to reach customers in mid-July (transit times may vary, with some remote locations taking longer time).

Refined Plastic Piece Update

The revised prototype for the plastic pieces has arrived! Attached are images of the painted samples for your reference. We’re committed to refining the details to ensure a premium experience.

We’re closely managing the timeline to ensure the plastic pieces’ production does not lag behind the wooden pieces by more than two weeks. This means all first-batch pre-order customers should receive their complete sets (including plastic pieces) by mid-September.

Flexible Options for Backers

We understand that the wait may be longer than expected. As always:

  • Refunds: If the timeline no longer works for you, we’ll process refunds promptly per our policy.
  • Future Purchase: You’re welcome to wait until the Move is in stock, though please note that the pre-order discount (the best price only for pre-order backers) will not apply at that stage.

 

Pricing Note

Due to higher-than-expected production costs and tariffs, we’ll need to adjust the retail price upward once inventory becomes available. Rest assured, all pre-order customers will lock in the original discounted rate—no additional charges will apply.
