Overall is good but
1. Magnetic doesn't that strong enough (like in the commercial.
2. Slow Bluetooth connect: It takes about 1-2 minutes to connect.

Yes just these two issues. Anything else is good. I often play on my bed(to avoid looking smartphone before sleep)After I'm done playing, It has some sweat at the bottom of this board. Maybe it's the heat from my leg and blanket.

Suggestion: Noted that maybe R&D chessnut teams can do something with the sweat issue. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the one who done this xD

I purchased the Chessnut Go about a month after purchasing the Chessnut Evo. I wanted the Evo to learn and play OTB games with at home. It's too large, heavy and cumbersome for travel. The Chessnut Go more than solves those issues.

The travel case it comes with makes it easy to take anywhere. The board is very sturdy but not at all heavy. You can play with the board on your lap or a table depending on where you're at. The pieces are magnetic which makes playing on your lap perfect. The sensors in the pieces are very responsive too.

The Go needs to hook up with the Chessnut app to play against the engines but that's not a problem. I found connecting the two worked perfectly right away. It will verify the board position with the app position.

You get the same level of playing features with the Go that the Evo has. Saving finished games are easy on the app and they sync with the cloud.

My only nit picking is the styrofoam like bags the chess pieces come in. They should be felt drawstring bags that will securely keep the pieces together. I made that change immediately.

If you're looking for a travel chess partner, look no further than the Chessnut Go. Well done Chessnut!

So far so good. The first thing I noticed is that from all YouTube reviews, the pieces seemed to have strong magnets to keep them on the board. In many cases, the reviewers tilted the board 90 degrees or even rotated it completely without any pieces falling off. My pieces do not have the same magnets as they all fall off easily if shaken a bit or tilted too much.
Another strange thing I noticed when unpacking it was the presence of short thick hairs (?!) within the pieces. So, I cleaned the pieces with antibacterial gel as a precaution.

Finally, even though it is not a problem with the board, the hard paper strip that comes around the case shows a completely wrong board drawing (h to a at bottom rank and dark square at bottom right corner). Again, this is not a big deal as it is only the packaging and not the board, but come on! This is a chess company selling sophisticated chessboards, so this kind of errors and lack of QA/QC should not happen. Take example from Apple, they take pride in their packaging as well as their products.

Apart from those points above, the board works fine; it is responsive, it connects easily with the app, etc. It is definitely great for travelling, light weight, and the protective carrying case is a fantastic addition.

Really pleased eith this board. Mega responsive and portable. The piece recognition works perfectly and the magnetic pieces allow to play anywhere(to a limit). I have used it in the plane with no issues.

The customer service is very responsive although the delivery is expensive and takes about three weeks if you order from Europe.

It comes with a carrier case, which is quite nice, but unfortunatelly mine came with a defect in the zipper and I am negotiating a new one with them.

I have ordered a new set of pieces, which will incur in another 39.90 usd delivery pieces, but I am so pleased with the product that I don't want to be unable to use it if I loose a pawn.

Excellent product, best toy ever. Shame there is no affiliated partner en Europe/Uk to ease the transaction cost and time

It’s perfect. Portability is excellent. The pieces are quite pretty, and the magnets work great. After a minor connection hiccup, which was swiftly sorted after correspondence with Chessnut, the board works brilliantly. I foresee many happy hours with this Chessnut go.
