Chessnut Nova — Day 4 Recap | FIDE World Team Rapid 2026

Hong Kong — June 19, 2026

Four rounds today. One perfect moment. Here's how every member of Chessnut Nova performed on Day 4.

Today's Results (Rounds 9–12)

GM Raunak Sadhwani 🇮🇳 — 2/4

Raunak held the top board with composure. A solid win against Gao Rui in Round 10, and a hard-fought draw against Mamedyarov — one of the world's most dangerous players — to close the day. No losses, steady as always.

GM Daniel Dardha 🇧🇪 — 3.5/4

Daniel was on fire. Three wins from four games, including a demolition of Grischuk in the final round. His endgame technique was clinical all day. The engine of today's results.

GM Casper Schoppen 🇳🇱 — 3/4

Casper bounced back from a tough Round 9 loss with two dominant wins. His Round 10 and 11 performances were textbook attacking chess. A draw against Wang Hao to finish — no complaints.

GM Marc'Andria Maurizzi 🇫🇷 — 3/4

The young GM showed why he's one of the brightest talents in the game. Two clean wins, two solid draws, zero losses. Marc'Andria played with patience and precision — mature beyond his years.

IM Lu Miaoyi 🇨🇳 — 2/4

Miaoyi's Round 10 win was pure fire — she dominated from start to finish. The two losses stung, but she never stopped fighting. Her energy on the board lifts the entire team.

Tim Letoret 🇧🇪 — 1/4

Tim's Round 10 win was the moment of the day. Under 2000 rating, paired against a FIDE Master, first individual win of the entire tournament. His opponent blundered with Bg7, Tim grabbed the piece, and converted without a trace of nerves. When the team needed him, he delivered.

Results like this don't happen often in team chess. When they do, you remember them.

Tomorrow: Blitz Day. New format, new energy. Chessnut Nova is ready.
