Chessnut Move Production & Shipping Update
Dear Chessnut Community,
First and foremost, thank you for your continued support and patience throughout this journey. We're excited to share the latest updates on your Chessnut Move orders. Please forgive us for not updating you more frequently, but please believe that we're doing everything we can to get Move delivered to you as quickly as possible.
Current Production Status
Our team has been fully focused on Move's production. As a completely new product with unique specifications, the manufacturing and testing processes presented more challenges than anticipated as our factory partners adapted to its requirements. However, we're pleased to report that production is now running smoothly.
Based on our current projections, all first-batch pre-order customers will receive their Move by the end of August, which aligns with our original timeline. For other regions, orders will be fulfilled in chronological order, with the first shipments expected to reach customers in mid-July (transit times may vary, with some remote locations taking longer time).
Refined Plastic Piece Update
The revised prototype for the plastic pieces has arrived! Attached are images of the painted samples for your reference. We’re committed to refining the details to ensure a premium experience.
We’re closely managing the timeline to ensure the plastic pieces’ production does not lag behind the wooden pieces by more than two weeks. This means all first-batch pre-order customers should receive their complete sets (including plastic pieces) by mid-September.
We understand that the wait may be longer than expected. As always:
- Refunds: If the timeline no longer works for you, we’ll process refunds promptly per our policy.
- Future Purchase: You’re welcome to wait until the Move is in stock, though please note that the pre-order discount (the best price only for pre-order backers) will not apply at that stage.
Pricing Note
Due to higher-than-expected production costs and tariffs, we’ll need to adjust the retail price upward once inventory becomes available. Rest assured, all pre-order customers will lock in the original discounted rate—no additional charges will apply.

OMG, ordered my Chessnut Move before doing my research and now readibg these comment have me anxious.

I placed an order for a Chessnut Move on March 26, 2025, but I haven’t received it yet.
My son’s birthday is coming up soon, and this item was meant to be his gift, so I’m feeling a bit anxious about the delay.

I don’t give much hope for orders starting with the number 2xxxx until the end of the year :( I don’t have any indication that anything will be delivered to me either with the order starting with 1xxxx… :(

Your customer service is terrible. I purchased the EVO board and do not like it. It’s very clunky and not what I was really looking for. Your company won’t let me return it because I happen to not have the outer shipping box to send back to you. I bought this through your website thinking that I would get good customer service. If I bought this through Amazon, it would’ve been able to return it without the outer shipping box and receive my money back. I do not recommend this company. I do not recommend the EVO board.

I want to order Chestnut Move in the presales period but I can wait a bit longer to receive the product. I need the latest fine-tuned firmware and software that becomes available for the retail customers in bulk production. Can you please confirm if that’s possible ? If yes, how long does it take to receive the product in Sydney, Australia?
How long if I before I receive the chessnut move if I order it today. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
